Sakurako Hoshino is the former stage name of Sakurako Kishiro, a Japanese voice actress born on July 30, 1961, in Shizuoka Prefecture. She began her voice acting career in the 1980s using this name, as she believed her real name was difficult for people to remember. She later reverted to using her maiden name, Sakurako Kishiro, professionally. Kishiro is a graduate of Toho Gakuen College of Music, where she majored in piano, a background that complements her artistic career. She is currently represented by the talent management firm Ken Production.

Under the name Sakurako Hoshino, she provided voices for numerous anime series and films throughout the 1980s and 1990s. A notable example of her work from this period is the role of Mocha in the 1985 original video animation Fairy Princess Minky Momo: La ronde in my dream. Other significant credits under this stage name include roles in the television series Touch, Hiatari Ryōkō, and Anmitsu Hime, as well as the film Touch 2: Sayonara no Okurimono.

After transitioning to using her real name, Sakurako Kishiro became known for a wide range of long-running and prominent roles. She is perhaps best recognized for her work in the Crayon Shin-chan franchise, where she has voiced the character Nakamura in numerous television episodes and films since the 1990s. Her other major roles include Sawako's mother in the Kimi ni Todoke series, Prin in Soreike! Anpanman, and Mecha-Godzilla in the Susume! Godzilland OVAs. Her career also encompasses smaller roles in classic series such as Magical Angel Creamy Mami, Gunbuster, and The Vision of Escaflowne, as well as dubbing work for foreign productions.
