Akiho Sendou is a Japanese actress born on April 5, 1969, in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture. She graduated from Hyogo Prefectural Takarazuka Kita High School. Sendou began her career in the entertainment industry, initially debuting as a singer in 1990 before gaining widespread recognition as a television actress.

Her most prominent and defining role came in 1991 when she was cast as Nagasaki Naoko in the highly successful and popular television drama Tokyo Love Story. This performance established her as a recognizable figure in Japanese drama. She continued to build her career with significant roles in other notable television series, such as Shikaotoko Aoniyoshi (also known as He Is Always There or Look Back at Him) in 1993 and New Flight by Night in 1999. Her filmography primarily consists of live-action television dramas, with her work spanning from the late 1980s through the 2000s.
