Nana Spier is a German actress and voice actress born on April 2, 1971, in Berlin. She comes from a family with a strong background in acting and dubbing; she is the daughter of actress Almut Eggert, stepdaughter of actor and director Wolfgang Spier, and half-sister of voice actress Bettina Spier. Spier completed her acting education at the Schauspielstudio Maria Körber in Berlin.

In addition to her on-screen acting roles in German television series such as Mutter mit 16, Die Männer vom K3, and Der Landarzt, Spier has built a prolific career as a synchronsprecher, the German term for dubbing and voice-over artist. Her work encompasses films, television series, animated features, computer games, and audio books, where she serves not only as a voice actor but also as a dialogue author and dubbing director.

Spier is widely recognized as the German default voice for several prominent Hollywood actresses, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Claire Danes, Drew Barrymore, and Thandie Newton. Among her most noted film dubbing roles are Sarah Michelle Gellar in the Scooby-Doo films, Claire Danes in Terminator 3: Rebellion der Maschinen, and Liv Tyler in Armageddon. In the realm of animation, she provided the German voice for Joy in the Pixar film Alles steht Kopf (Inside Out) and Miss Hattie in the Ich - Einfach unverbesserlich (Despicable Me) franchise.
