Susumu Maeya is the Japanese creator of the manga series The Food Diary of Miss Maid, known in Japanese as Maid-san wa Taberu Dake. Maeya is credited as the writer and illustrator of the series, which began serialization on Kodansha's digital platform Comic Days on December 2, 2019. The manga is published in English digitally by Kodansha USA. As of March 2022, the series has been compiled into four tankōbon volumes.

The story follows Suzume Tachibana, a maid-in-training who finds herself staying in Japan for a year and spends her time exploring a variety of Japanese foods, from taiyaki and melon bread to takoyaki and onigiri. The manga is classified with the genres of cooking, comedy, and slice of life, and is aimed at a seinen demographic.

An anime television adaptation of The Food Diary of Miss Maid has been announced and is scheduled to premiere in 2026. The anime is produced by the animation studios EMT Squared and Magic Bus, with Ryosuke Senbo serving as director. The series stars Kana Ichinose as the protagonist, Suzume Tachibana.

In addition to manga creation, Susumu Maeya has worked as an illustrator for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Maeya has contributed several illustration rare and special art rare cards to the game, including pieces such as Sawsbuck and Deerling from the Temporal Forces expansion. Maeya is also known for creating the special illustration rare for Lillie's Clefairy ex in the English Journey Together set, as well as its counterpart special art rare in the Japanese Battle Partners set. These works are noted for their use of gentle lighting and intimate character-focused compositions that create small narrative vignettes.
