Alfredo Danti was an Italian voice actor and television personality, primarily active from the 1960s through the early 2000s. He was born on April 19, 1923, in Milan, Italy. His career began in the performing arts at a young age in theater, following in the footsteps of his father. He later became a prominent figure in the dubbing industry, working mainly for studios in his native Milan.
Danti's career extended beyond voice acting. During the 1960s, he was involved in creating numerous segments for the popular Italian advertising program Carosello and directed many commercials. He also worked as a speaker for the Rai television network's sports news program, Telegiornale Sport, between the 1960s and 1970s. He also contributed as a dialogue writer for the Italian version of the first season of the anime series Pokémon.
Danti is best known for his extensive work dubbing foreign animation for the Italian market. He voiced the character of Direttore (Director) in the 1970s anime series Calimero. His other prominent roles in anime include providing the voices for Moori and Mutaito in the Italian editions of the Dragon Ball Z series. He also voiced Il Grande Saggio (The Great Sage) in Sailor Moon and appeared in other popular series such as The Slayers, where he voiced characters like Zorom and Saman. His film work included roles in the movie Slayers Great.
