Shigeru Shiibashi

Shigeru Shiibashi was a Japanese voice actor born on June 14, 1948, in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. He was a graduate of the Faculty of Economics at Senshu University. Before focusing on voice acting, his acting career began on stage, with his debut performance in a production of Jeanne de Pierrefeu. He was a member of the theater troupe Bara-za, led by Nachi Nozawa, and was also a founding member of the Fedo Theater company.

His voice acting career was active throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He was affiliated with the talent management firm 81 Produce at the time of his passing. One of his most recognized roles was as Tesshin Okada, a recurring character in the popular anime franchise Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!!. He voiced this character across multiple series and films, including Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!!, Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!! WGP, Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!! Max, and the theatrical feature Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!! WGP Bōsō Mini Yonku Daitsuiseki.

In addition to his work on the Let's & Go!! series, Shiibashi took on a variety of other roles in anime and original video animations. His television anime credits include the role of Fujiyama in Dash! Yonkurō, Yamada Hiroe in O~i! Ryoma, Onizuka Torazō in Honō no Tōkyūji: Dodge Danpei, Burroughs in Jungle no Ōja Tar-chan, and Governor in Burn-Up Excess. He also contributed to OVA projects such as Midoriyama Kōkō Kōshien-hen, where he voiced both the Assistant Principal and a Base Umpire, and appeared in other OVAs like Angel Cop, Aoi Shōjo-tai, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. His work also extended to voice acting in foreign film dubs and tokusatsu, providing the voice for the mercenary soldier Zaiking in the series Beetleborgs. Shigeru Shiibashi passed away on September 3, 1998.
