Dominique Collignon-Maurin was a French actor extensively involved in dubbing, known for providing the French voice for numerous characters in animation and live-action cinema. As an anime voice actor, he is notably recognized for the role of Baron Humbert von Gikkingen in the Studio Ghibli film Whisper of the Heart, known in French as Si tu tends l'oreille. He also voiced the same character in the film's spiritual successor, The Cat Returns.

Collignon-Maurin's voice work in animation was prolific, particularly within Disney productions where he voiced characters such as Arthur in The Sword in the Stone, Hades in Hercules, and Gill in Finding Nemo. His career in dubbing extended to being the regular French voice for actors including Nicolas Cage, Dustin Hoffman, and Mark Hamill, for whom he voiced Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy. This extensive work in animation and film dubbing made his voice familiar to French audiences across several decades.

Born in Paris in 1949, he was part of a family of actors known as les petits Maurin, which included his half-brother Patrick Dewaere. His career in performance began in early childhood, appearing in films and on stage. Beyond his voice work, he remained active as a stage actor and director throughout his life.
