Takashi Tachibana was a Japanese journalist and nonfiction writer who also performed voice acting work, most notably for Studio Ghibli. He provided the voice for the character Seiya Tsukishima, the father of the protagonist Shizuku, in the 1995 animated film Whisper of the Heart. This role stands as his most recognized credit in the anime industry.

Beyond this single voice acting role, Tachibana's connection to Studio Ghibli extended to research and collaborative projects. He co-authored a book related to the studio's work, titled Ghibli no Kyōkasho 1 Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä, which translates to Ghibli Textbook 1: Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. His primary career, however, was in journalism and writing, where he authored numerous books and articles covering a wide range of topics including politics, medical research, and history. He was born on May 28, 1940, and passed away on April 30, 2021, due to acute coronary syndrome.
