More recently, she was announced to provide a voice role in the 2025 film The Never-Ending Scarlet, playing the mysterious old woman in the land of the dead. Despite her limited number of voice roles, her contributions to the medium are part of a long and distinguished career in Japanese entertainment that began in the 1970s with stage work and live-action films such as those directed by Terayama Shuji and Kon Ichikawa.
