Rachel Rivera

Description
Rachel Rivera is an American voice actor known for her work in the English dubbing of anime during the early 2000s. Her most prominent and celebrated role is as the voice of the titular character, Yucie, in the anime series Petite Princess Yucie. This series, produced by Gainax and licensed by ADV Films, tells the story of a seventeen-year-old girl cursed to remain in the body of a ten-year-old as she competes to become the Platinum Princess. Rivera's performance as the cheerful and determined Yucie was recorded by Monster Island, the in-house dubbing studio for ADV Films in Austin, Texas.

Rivera's role in Petite Princess Yucie placed her among a cast of voice actors who were regulars in ADV productions at the time, including Kelley Huston, Monika Bustamante, and Jason Liebrecht. Her work on this series was met with critical praise, with her performance being described as "absolutely brilliant" for its ability to convey a wide range of emotions, from passion and humor to fear and hope. This role is often cited as an example of the high-quality dubbing work produced by the Austin-based studio before its closure.

Beyond her leading role in Petite Princess Yucie, Rivera's anime voice credits include additional voices for the English adaptation of Sakura Wars in 2000 and the role of Fennis in the series Eden's Boy in 1999. She also provided the voice for the character Averse in the English version of the 1995 anime Wedding Peach. Following these projects, particularly her work on Petite Princess Yucie in the mid-2000s, Rivera did not take on any further known anime voice roles, making the series a notable and singular highlight in her anime dubbing career.
