Robert Matney is an American voice actor known for his work in anime and video game productions, primarily during the early 2000s. He was born Robert Weaver Matney in 1976 in Dallas, Texas. His career is multifaceted, encompassing roles on stage and as a voice actor alongside significant professional work in web development, technology design for theater, and later in government affairs. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied philosophy and participated in the Shakespeare at Winedale program.

Matney's voice acting credits, though limited in number, feature roles in several English-dubbed anime series and original video animations. In the television series Petite Princess Yucie, he provided the voice for Gunbard, the legendary knight and doting adoptive father of the titular character, Yucie.
