Jim Malone

Description
Jim Malone is an American voice actor, voice director, and audio engineer recognized for his extensive work on the English adaptation of the Pokémon anime series. Born on January 13, 1966, he is based in New York City. His entry into the anime industry was preceded by a background in music, having been in a band called Hot Ice during his school years.

Malone's most significant and enduring contribution to anime is his work on the English-language version of Pokémon. He was one of the original voice directors for the series, joining from its first season, Pokémon: Indigo League, and continued in that role for the first four seasons. His direction extended to several Pokémon movies and specials produced during that period. In addition to his directorial duties, he also made a cameo voice acting appearance as a character named Danny in the second season, Adventures in the Orange Islands. His work on the series encompassed multiple roles, as he also served as an ADR engineer and script adapter. His last directing credit for the franchise was on the special Camp Pikachu. Beyond Pokémon, his behind-the-scenes work in anime continued until around 2005, including a stint as a supervising producer for four series that aired on the FoxBox Saturday morning programming block.

As a voice actor, Malone is credited with the role of Tenma Koizumi in the 1996 English dub of the OVA series Here Is Greenwood, produced by Central Park Media. In this adaptation, he provided the voice for the character Tenma Koizumi. He also voiced an additional character, listed as Nagisa's Henchman B, in the same production.

Information regarding recurring collaborations with other voice actors or directors beyond his consistent work on the Pokémon series is limited. Following his tenure in anime production, he established his own recording studio named Little Big North.
