In anime, Atherlay is known for his role as the character Jean-Pierre Polnareff in the English adaptation of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. Another notable anime role is Shuji, the lead character in the series SaiKano, also known as She, The Ultimate Weapon. His performance in SaiKano was noted for being well-matched to the character's appearance, though some early episodes were critiqued for a stiffness in delivery. His other anime credits include roles in Record of Ragnarok, where he voiced Kagekatsu Toda and Nobutsuna Kamiizumi.
