Yolanda Cavalcanti was a Brazilian voice actor with a prolific career in radio, theater, television, and dubbing, recognized for her work from the 1950s through the 1980s. Born Antonieta Jorge in São Paulo, she began her artistic career in radio in 1953 at Rádio Tupi in São Paulo under the name Antonieta de Alencar. After moving to Recife in 1955, she worked at Rádio Jornal do Commercio, where she acted in radio dramas such as the local version of Jerônimo, o Herói do Sertão and the novela O Preço do Silêncio. In 1964, she returned to São Paulo and adopted the stage name Yolanda Cavalcanti, continuing her radio work at Rádio São Paulo and later Rádio Record. Her career also included significant stage work in Recife with the Companhia Teatro de Equipe and appearances on television, starting with TV Jornal do Commercio in 1961 and later at TV Record and TV Tupi in São Paulo, where she acted in the novela A Revolta dos Anjos in 1972. In 1963, she was awarded best TV actress in Recife.

Cavalcanti entered the field of dubbing around 1967 or 1968 at the AIC studios in São Paulo. Her early work consisted of guest roles in series, but she soon gained her first fixed character as Esmeralda in the seventh and eighth seasons of A Feiticeira (Bewitched). During this period, she also became the voice of Granny Daisy Moses in A Família Buscapé (The Beverly Hillbillies). She worked at multiple studios, including Odil Phono Brasil and, from 1972, Álamo, later continuing at BKS after AIC closed. Her extensive dubbing portfolio included a wide range of characters in films, series, and animation. Among her notable film dubs were Rheba Spelding in Rabo de Foguete, Mrs. Maloney in Trama Macabra, and Ma Tarbet in O Vale da Ambição. In series, she was the third voice for Nurse Christine Chapel in the first dubbing of Jornada nas Estrelas (Star Trek) and also voiced characters in Lancer and Batman. Her work in animation included the character Maw in the first dubbing of Sinuca e Borba. Critically for fans of anime, she voiced the character of the Rainha (Queen) in the BKS dubbing of the series A Princesa e o Cavaleiro, known in English as Princess Knight.

Throughout her career, Cavalcanti was known for her versatility across different media and genres. She was the mother of Lúcia Helena Azevedo, who also became a prominent dubbing artist and director in Brazil. Yolanda Cavalcanti passed away on May 6, 2007, leaving behind a substantial body of work that contributed to the golden age of dubbing in Brazil.
