Osmiro Campos was a prominent Brazilian actor, voice actor, and dubbing director, born in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, on April 18, 1933. His career in performance began in the late 1940s in radio, working as a broadcaster and radio actor at various stations, including Rádio Tupi in São Paulo and Rádio Mayrink Veiga in Rio de Janeiro. He transitioned into dubbing in 1959, a field in which he would work for over five decades. In addition to his voice work, Campos also acted in television novels and theater, with a notable stage role in the early 2000s as a priest in the play Trair e Coçar É só Começar. He passed away on July 5, 2015, in São Paulo.

Campos's voice is most famously associated with the Mexican actor Rubén Aguirre. In 1984, he became the definitive Brazilian voice for Aguirre's most iconic character, Professor Girafales, in the beloved sitcom Chaves, a role he performed for nearly three decades until 2012. He also voiced various other characters played by Aguirre in the associated series Chapolin Colorado. His extensive portfolio includes a wide range of characters in films and television series. He was the voice of James Stephens (played by Dick Sargent) in the later seasons of A Feiticeira (Bewitched) and the villainous Inspector Dobbs Kobick in Terra de Gigantes (Land of the Giants). He also lent his voice to characters in productions such as Spectreman, Supergirl, and the narrator in Saber Rider. In live-action, he appeared in Brazilian telenovelas like Amigas e Rivais and Revelação.

Within the specific realm of anime and animated series for the Brazilian market, Campos contributed his voice to several notable titles.
