Steve Rassin

Description
Steve Rassin is an American voice actor recognized for his work in English-language dubs of anime titles, particularly during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, in 1967. His most prominent role is providing the English voice for the character Ataru Moroboshi in five of the six original Urusei Yatsura theatrical films. These films include Urusei Yatsura: Only You, Urusei Yatsura: Remember My Love, Urusei Yatsura: Lum The Forever, Urusei Yatsura: The Final Chapter, and Urusei Yatsura: Always My Darling. His work on this long-running and popular franchise is the cornerstone of his career in anime.

Beyond the Urusei Yatsura films, Rassin contributed voices to several other anime projects from the same era. He voiced the character Akira Nagareyama in the 1988 original video animation The Tokyo Project, a role that exemplifies his work in the cyberpunk and action genres common at the time. His other anime voice credits include roles in the English versions of Bubblegum Crisis, Genesis Survivor Gaiarth, Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01, and Vampire Princess Miyu. These roles often involved voicing supporting characters such as guards, police captains, or other figures in the English adaptations of these OVA series. Rassin also voiced characters in The Mystery of Nonomura Hospital and The Tales Trilogy.

In his anime work, Rassin was part of a pool of voice actors who regularly contributed to English dubs produced during that period. His credits frequently appear alongside other English voice actors such as Eric Paisley, Belinda Bizic, and Dave Underwood. His career also extended beyond Japanese animation. Later credits include voice roles in non-anime animated productions such as the films Pet Pals, Agent F.O.X., and the 2011 Christmas film Mule-tide Christmas. He is also known by the alias Rassinator.
