Colette Venhard is a French actress whose career has been primarily defined by her extensive work in dubbing, providing the French-language voices for numerous characters in animated films and television series. Her professional background includes classical theatre training, having studied at the Conservatoire de Paris under the tutelage of Béatrix Dussane, which grounded her in the works of playwrights such as Molière, Shakespeare, and Corneille, as well as contemporary writers. This stage experience has underpinned her long-standing voice work.

Venhard's filmography in animation is vast and spans several decades, encompassing a wide array of roles in both anime and Western animation. One of her noted roles in anime is the voice of the grandmother, Shige, in the French dub of the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbors the Yamada. Her association with Studio Ghibli also includes voicing the grandmother in another of the studio's renowned films, My Neighbor Totoro. In the anime series Creamy, Merveilleuse Creamy, she voiced the grandmother of the character Lahuri.

Beyond anime, her voice is recognizable in a multitude of other animated productions. She is the French voice of Clotho, one of the Moirae (Fates), in both the film and series versions of Disney's Hercule. Her other Disney credits include providing a new French voice for the character Griotte in the 1998 redubbing of The Black Cauldron (Taram et le chaudron magique) and voicing Gran in the French version of The Croods. For Pixar, she voiced the minor but memorable role of the Ronronthérapeuthe (Therapy Cat Lady) in Soul.

Her dubbing work extends into live-action series as well, where she lent her voice to the character Aughra in the French version of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Other notable voice roles include the Magicienne and Gleep in He-Man, le Héros du Futur, DynAmyte and Kim's grandmother in Kim Possible, and Lady Hurlevent in Trop Cool, Scooby-Doo!. She also contributed additional voices to the early French dubs of The Simpsons.

In addition to her on-screen voice roles, Colette Venhard has worked as a voice director for the French-language adaptations of several animated series. Her directing credits include shows such as Kim Possible, Aladdin, and Timon & Pumbaa.
