Tsutomu Takayama is a Japanese voice actor and narrator born on March 1, 1970, in Tokyo, Japan. His real name is Tsutomu Takayama, and he is also known professionally by the name Takayama Tsutomu. He was formerly affiliated with the talent management agencies 81 Produce and TimelyOffice.
Takayama is primarily recognized for his role as the protagonist Hibiki Kanzaki in the 1992 original video animation series Super Dimensional Fortress Macross II: Lovers Again. This part was a significant milestone in his early career. He had entered the voice acting profession around 1990 but had performed mostly minor roles prior to Macross II. In fact, he noted in an interview that Hibiki Kanzaki was the first character for whom he had to deliver more than two lines of dialogue.
