Shigeo Takamatsu is a Japanese actor and voice actor born in Tokyo on November 25, 1943. His career in entertainment began in live performance; he initially worked as an assistant to the singer Ichiro Rose, the first Columbia Rose, before training under the comedy duo Haruno Peachiku and Paruku. As a comedian, he formed the manzai duo Haruno Chick & Tack with Haruno Chick, performing together for nine years before the partnership dissolved. Following this, he expanded his career to include voice acting, comedy, and on-screen acting.
Takamatsu is known for his voice role in the anime series Ijiwaru Baasan. In the 1970 anime adaptation of Machiko Hasegawa's manga, he provided the voice for the titular character, Baasan, also known as Ishi. This role is notable as he voiced the elderly female protagonist, a casting choice that contributed to the character's unique presence.
