Ryūichirō Sakata is a Japanese actor, singer, and voice actor affiliated with Sony Music Entertainment. He was born on May 15, 1994, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. His career began in his hometown of Fukuoka after he was scouted as a university student. He successfully auditioned for a talent discovery program, which led to his debut as a member of the local acting and performance group 10神ACTOR. During this period, he gained experience in regional television dramas, variety shows, and stage productions. In September 2020, Sakata left the group and relocated his base of operations to Tokyo in April 2021 to pursue a national career.

As a performer, Sakata is also a singer-songwriter and musician. His skills include playing the guitar, songwriting, composing, and music production. He has released multiple digital singles since 2022 and regularly performs live concerts, often featuring his own compositions.

Sakata's entry into anime voice acting is closely tied to the multimedia idol project UniteUp!, produced by Sony Music Entertainment Japan. In the television anime series UniteUp!, which aired in 2023, and its second season, UniteUp! -Uni:Birth-, which aired in 2025, he provides the voice for the character Fūga Tōgō. Tōgō is a member of the artist group Legit within the series. This role as Fūga Tōgō represents his sole major anime voice acting credit to date.

Prior to his voice acting debut, Sakata built a substantial career in stage musicals and theater, which continues alongside his other activities. Notable stage roles include his starring role as Yas in the Live Musical SHOW BY ROCK!! in 2021. He has also been prominently featured in the stage play adaptations of the Hypnosis Mic franchise, Rule the Stage, where he plays the character Yumeno Gentaro, a role he has performed in multiple productions since 2022. Other stage work includes performances in adaptations of Crows Zero and AoPera.
