Gaku Takamoto is a Japanese actor and model who was born in Osaka Prefecture on December 31, 1993. He is 180 cm tall and is affiliated with the talent agency Sony Music Entertainment. Takamoto is a graduate of Nihon University's College of Art, where he majored in photography.

His career in the entertainment industry began in 2015 after he won the Grand Prix at the SonyMusic × smart Model/Actor/Talent Audition, which led to work as an exclusive model for the fashion magazine "smart". The following year, in 2016, he shifted his focus to stage performance by joining the theatrical group Gekidan Bancho Boys.

Takamoto is primarily known for his extensive work in 2.5D musical and stage adaptations of popular manga and anime. His notable stage roles include Prussia in the Hetalia musicals, Subaru Sakamaki in Diabolik Lovers, Isuzu Ichinose in the Space Battleship Tiramisu series, and roles in productions such as Kuroko's Basketball, Starry☆Sky on STAGE, Starmyu, Sarazanmai, and Show By Rock!!. He has also appeared in television dramas and films, including a role in the 2017 film Teiichi no Kuni.

While his career is centered on stage and screen acting, his work in anime voice acting includes the role of Kanata Morinomiya in the 2023 television anime series UniteUp! and its 2025 sequel, UniteUp! -Uni:Birth-.

Beyond acting, Takamoto's artistic background in photography is a noted aspect of his career. He released a personal photobook titled G-raphic in 2021, which showcased his photography skills and provided insight into his professional life. He is also known to play the guitar.
