Miyashita first attracted significant attention with the series Seigi Keikan Monju, which began serialization in 2004 and concluded in 2011. Following this success, he continued to produce a variety of manga, including Kyousei Hero, Ryuuma no Gagou, Tokyo Karasu, and Kettou Saiban. His artistic skills have been recognized through his participation in Pixiv, a platform that highlights notable Japanese illustrators.

His most recent major work is Me and the Alien MuuMuu, a manga series that began as a one-shot in the magazine Young King OURs in April 2019 before launching as a full serialization in June of the same year. The story follows a cat-like alien who arrives on Earth to study home appliance technology, leading to chaotic and comedic situations with a female university student. The series has been collected into multiple tankobon volumes, with seven released as of May 2024.

An anime television adaptation of Me and the Alien MuuMuu premiered in April 2025. Produced by OLM, the anime adaptation represents the growing recognition of Miyashita’s work, bringing his storytelling to a broader audience.
