Description
Morohe Yoshida is a Japanese manga artist known for creating the series Inari Konkon, which was adapted into an anime television series. Yoshida is a female creator from Kyoto Prefecture and a graduate of the Osaka Communication Arts Specialized School. She made her professional debut as a manga author in January 2004, initially working with the publisher Square Enix.

Yoshida is best known as the author and illustrator of Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha, also known as Inari Konkon. This romantic comedy manga with supernatural elements was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's seinen magazine Young Ace from August 2010 to May 2015. The story follows Fushimi Inari, a middle school girl who receives the power to transform her shape from the fox goddess Uka-no-Mitama-no-Kami. The series was compiled into ten tankobon volumes. An anime television adaptation produced by Production IMS aired in Japan from January to March 2014, with Yoshida credited as the original creator.

Beyond her most famous work, Yoshida has created numerous other manga series across various demographics and genres. Her earlier serialized works include Egao no Mahou, Mahou no O Jikan, and an adaptation of Star Ocean 2 Second Evolution. Later series include Iro wa Nioedo, Robot no Momo-chan, Tenchuu x Shinkyoku, Dame na Kanojo wa Amaetai, and Asako. More recent works include Byakuda no Hanamuko and Boku wa Onee-chan no Omocha, with the latter being a collaboration where Yoshida provided the story and another artist handled the artwork. She has also contributed illustrations and short manga to numerous anthologies based on popular franchises such as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, The iDOLM@STER, and Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-.

Several recurring themes appear throughout Yoshida's body of work. Many of her stories blend supernatural elements with everyday life, particularly drawing on Japanese folklore and Shinto traditions as seen in Inari Konkon and Byakuda no Hanamuko. Romance is a central component of most of her narratives, often exploring adolescent or young adult relationships. Her work spans multiple demographics, including seinen, shounen, shoujo, and josei, indicating versatility in her approach to storytelling. Settings frequently reference real locations, with Kyoto serving as a prominent backdrop in Inari Konkon. Additionally, several of her series incorporate gender-bending or transformation themes, such as a male protagonist being transformed into a girl in Boku wa Onee-chan no Omocha.

The anime adaptation of Inari Konkon brought Yoshida's work to a wider audience and stands as her most significant contribution to the anime medium. While she is primarily recognized as a manga creator, her involvement in anime projects is typically limited to providing the original source material or character concepts. The success of Inari Konkon, which received an English release from BookWalker, established Yoshida as a notable creator within the seinen romance and fantasy genres. Her continued productivity across multiple magazines and publishers demonstrates her steady presence in the Japanese manga industry.
