Brooklyn Nelson is an American actress recognized for her work in theatre, film, and voice acting. Born in Huntington, West Virginia, around 2003 or 2004, she began her career as a child performer in local theater productions before making her Broadway debut at the age of eleven. Nelson's early professional work was primarily in musical theatre. She was a swing and later performed the role of Amanda Thripp in the Broadway production of Matilda the Musical, a run that began in September 2015 and lasted 16 months. She subsequently originated the role of a young Elsa in the Broadway adaptation of Disney's Frozen, first in its Denver tryout in 2017 and then on Broadway in early 2018, a performance that garnered critical praise.
Nelson's entry into anime voice acting began in 2017 when she was cast as the voice of Nazuna Oikawa for the English language dub of the animated film Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?. In this film, she provided the voice for the main character Nazuna, a junior high school student at the center of the story's romantic and fantastical events. The following year, she took on her second anime voice role, providing the English dub for the character Medmel in the fantasy film Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms. These two roles, both in feature films released in 2017 and 2018, constitute her known credits in the anime voice acting field. Beyond these projects, there is no readily available information indicating recurring collaborations with specific directors, studios, or other voice actors, nor a broader filmography of additional voice work.
