Peter von Gomm is an American voice actor based in Japan, known for his work in anime, video games, and tokusatsu productions for both the Japanese and international markets. He began his career in the United States, working for four years as an exhibition designer at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., where he also focused on editorial designs and audiobook narration. In 1995, he relocated to Tokyo to pursue work as a voice actor and narrator.

His career in Japan has been extensive and varied, including regular narration work for NHK Radio Courses such as Basic English 2 and Radio English Conversation Study. He also served as a news reporter for NHK World. A significant early role in animation was as the main character RD in the 2003 US animated series Zoids: Fuzors, which aired on Cartoon Network. He has also provided character voices for the NHK Educational Programme Little Charo 2.

Von Gomm is particularly active in video game voice work. He has voiced characters in numerous major titles, including X in Mega Man X7, Grey in Mega Man ZX Advent, Kyo Kusanagi and Ash Crimson in The King of Fighters XII, Frank West in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, and Spring Man and Springtron in ARMS. He has also voiced White Bomberman in the Super Bomberman R series. A notable and recurring role is that of Copen, which he played in the 2017 original video animation Azure Striker Gunvolt: The Anime.

In addition to animation and video games, von Gomm has a substantial presence in tokusatsu, particularly within the Ultraman franchise. He has provided English dub voices for multiple characters in the Ultra Galaxy Fight web series, including Ultraman Ginga, Ultraman Cosmos, and Ultraman Z. He also contributed voice work to the Kamen Rider Ghost television series, announcing for the Mega Ulorder device.

Throughout his career, von Gomm has frequently collaborated with a pool of other Tokyo-based English voice actors, as seen in productions like the Azure Striker Gunvolt OVA and various video games. His ability to work across different media—from educational programming and news reporting to major video game franchises and superhero tokusatsu—demonstrates the range and longevity of his career in the Japanese entertainment industry.
