Eriko Chihara

Eriko Chihara is a Japanese voice actor, also known by the name Eriko Chihara in Japanese writing. She was born in Hokkaido on May 30, 1966. She is a graduate of the theater department at Meiji University. Her career began in the 1980s, and she is affiliated with the talent agency Production A Group.
Chihara has built a career spanning several decades, with a variety of roles in television anime, original video animations, and animated films. One of her earliest and most enduring roles was Fumiko Shimizu in the long-running television series Touch, a part she played from 1985 into 1998 for a special episode. She also voiced the character Taisuke in the 1987 television anime Aa! Megami-sama and its subsequent 1988 film adaptation. In the same year, she played Ayako Sakamoto in the television series City Hunter.
In addition to these, her television anime credits include roles in Anpanman, where she voiced Akachanman from 1989 to 2022, as well as appearances in Esper Mami, Ultraman, and Little Women. Chihara's film work is notable and includes the role of Minmi Editoh in the 1991 film Mobile Suit Gundam F91. She also had a part in the classic 1984 film Macross: Do You Remember Love? providing additional voices.
