China Kitahara is a Japanese female voice actor and former child actor born on July 9, 1993, in Fukuoka Prefecture. Her career in voice acting began after she successfully passed a public audition held by the talent agency贤Production, which prompted her to transfer to a high school in Tokyo. She was affiliated with 贤 Production from April 2011 to January 2018. After a year as a freelancer, she joined the agency Object on January 1, 2019, and later moved to FIRST WIND production in April 2022 before becoming a freelancer again in March 2023. Kitahara is known to have a background in art, having been in an art course during high school, and lists drawing as one of her special skills.

Kitahara's voice acting portfolio includes a range of supporting roles in television anime series. One of her earliest roles was as Sayaka Yamazaki in Bakuman。 3 in 2013. That same year, she also voiced a female student in Jewelpet Happiness. She gained a recurring role as the committee member Miyahara in the long-running cycling anime Yowamushi Pedal, appearing in multiple series and films from 2014 through 2022, with the character later being identified as Suzuko Miyahara. In 2015, she began voicing Mari Mari in the musical anime SHOW BY ROCK!!, a role she reprised in subsequent seasons and a 2020 game adaptation. Her television roles also include a female clerk in Seikoku no Dragonar in 2014 and Moé Hamasaki in MF Ghost in 2023.

In addition to television, Kitahara has contributed to other animated formats. She voiced the character Kamitsure, known as Elesa in English, in the 2017 web anime series Pokémon Generations. Her work also extends to foreign dubbing, where she provided the Japanese voice for Miss Martian in the animated series Young Justice in 2013.

A significant portion of Kitahara's career is in video games, where she has voiced numerous characters. Some of her game credits include Ronette in Chaos Century 6 (2013), Shion Tsurumi in Hissatsu Shigotonin (2013), Sakura Ayanojo in Gunslinger Stratos 2 (2014), and Emma in Quiz RPG: The World of Mystic Wiz (2015). She continued to take on game roles throughout the decade, such as Sophia Barus in Caravan Stories (2017) and various characters in titles like Crash Fever and SHOW BY ROCK!! Fes A Live in 2020.

Beyond voice work, Kitahara has also participated in stage productions. Between 2015 and 2017, she appeared in several theater performances with groups like Bnibera Rabbit Team and Capsule Soldier, taking on roles such as a squad member, Sadako, the sun goddess Amaterasu, and the goddess Freyja. Her career also includes work as an assistant and narrator for the radio program Abenaga no Yabou, and she was involved in promoting a 2D virtual idol from Fukuoka named Mikoshi-chan.
