Chika Ogaki
Description
Chika Ogaki is a Japanese manga artist born on June 3, 1973. She is a graduate of the Department of Imaging Sciences at Musashino Art University. Ogaki began her career in the manga industry while still in art school, initially working as an assistant to her friend, the manga artist Saito Misaki. She first published her work under the pen name Hanamaruki Rika, creating manga primarily for male-oriented commercial magazines. Under the name Ogaki Chika, she made her official debut in the year 2000 in YK Ahours Light, a magazine published by Shonengahosha.
Throughout her career, Ogaki has been credited with works including Avian Wander, Chikamaniax, Honey Clay My Honey, and Servant Vampire. She has also contributed to art anthologies such as Pinoko Tribute: Acchonburike! and Arcana, which features a collection of short stories by various artists. Her primary creative focus has been the long-running manga series Landreaall, which began publication in 2003 and is considered her representative work. The series is published by Ichijinsha, a company with which Ogaki has had a long-standing association, and falls under the josei demographic.
