Jan Elbertse is a Dutch actor born in Soest in 1955 who has built an extensive career in theater, television, and voice acting. He studied at the kleinkunstakademie after completing a decorators' training and won the Pisuisse-prijs in 1977. In his early career, he was a member of Cabaret Vangrail and later spent fifteen years with jeugdtheater Mevrouw Smit. His work has also included presenting educational television programs and writing for radio and television.
Voice acting became a significant part of Elbertse's professional activity, particularly for Dutch-language dubs of international films and series.
