She began her professional path after graduating from the voice acting course at Osaka Animation College in March 2012. Her early career involved voicing minor characters and students in various television series, with her first notable main role being Kumeno (also spelled Kubeno) in the 2016 anime series Tabi Machi Late Show. This role is a key early credit in her filmography.

Tabata has built a career encompassing anime, video games, and foreign film dubbing.
