Ladden began her career as a child performer, touring with the Broadway Kids and appearing on their albums The Broadway Kids Back on Broadway and The Broadway Kids Sing America. Her early on-screen roles included appearances in live-action films such as Wet Hot American Summer, Igby Goes Down, and A Walk to Remember.

In the realm of animation and voice work, Ladden is known for her extensive contributions to the Barbie film series. She voiced the character Liana in Barbie and the Diamond Castle and provided voices for Barbie and the Three Musketeers and Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. She also performed as the singing voice for Princess Aurora in the 2007 direct-to-video release Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your Dreams.
