Description
Gō Ikeyamada is a Japanese manga artist born on May 25 in Sendai, Japan, though she was primarily raised in Yokohama. She made her professional debut in 2002 with the work Get Love!!, which was published in the magazine Shōjo Comic. Her first serialized work, Ookami Nanka Kowaikunai!?, followed in 2003, and she quickly rose to become one of the prominent artists for Sho-Comi magazine.

Ikeyamada specializes in shōjo manga, creating stories primarily aimed at a young female audience. Her bibliography includes a significant number of series, many of which feature exclamation points in their titles, a stylistic choice she has explained as being intentional because she enjoys the energetic feeling it conveys. Notable original works include Moe Kare!!, Uwasa no Midori-kun!!, and the series Suki Desu Suzuki-kun!!, which was later adapted into an anime. Another major work is Kobayashi ga Kawai Sugite Tsurai!! (So Cute it Hurts!!), which also received an anime adaptation.

Her career has been marked by consistent output and commercial success. By 2011, the total print run of her collected tankōbon volumes had surpassed 10 million copies. Recurring elements in her body of work often include romantic comedies with themes of young love and personal growth, frequently featuring protagonists involved in sports or facing identity-related challenges. She continues to create new series, with titles such as Isekai Maou wa Fujoshi wo Zettai Nigasanai (2020) and Retry Juliet!! (2022) among her more recent publications.
