Ruri Miyahara is a Japanese manga artist and former freelance writer, recognized as the original creator behind several manga series that have been adapted into anime television productions. Born on March 25, 1975, in Gifu Prefecture, she is a female creator who resides in her native prefecture and is married. Her career as a manga author began in the mid-2000s, with her early work appearing in magazines and anthologies published by companies such as Hobunsha and Shogakukan.

Miyahara is best known for creating the manga Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou, which is published in English as The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior. This series, a romantic comedy with slice of life elements, was serialized in Shonen Gahosha's seinen manga magazine Young King OURs from June 2010 to December 2017 and was collected into eleven tankobon volumes. The story follows a high school boy navigating life in a boarding house populated by eccentric residents, including his older crush. The manga was adapted into a twelve-episode anime television series produced by the studio Brain's Base, which originally aired in Japan from April to June 2014.
