Kouji Kikkawa

Description
Koji Kikkawa is a Japanese singer, musician, and actor who was born in Hiroshima Prefecture on August 18, 1965. He began his entertainment career in 1984, achieving immediate success as a musician with his debut single "Monica". While he is a prominent figure in the Japanese music industry, his direct involvement in anime voice acting is limited to specific, notable roles.

Kikkawa's connection to anime often involves his musical contributions. For instance, in the 2013 historical television anime series Gifū Dōdō!! Kanetsugu to Keiji, he performed the opening theme songs "Samurai Rock" and "The Sliders". In addition to providing the music, Kikkawa also served as the narrator for the series, a role that utilizes his voice but is distinct from character voice acting.

His sole credit as a voice actor for a character came in 2024 with the film Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Chikyū Symphony (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Earth Symphony). In this, the 43rd film of the long-running Doraemon franchise, he made his voice-acting debut by bringing to life the character Maestro Vento. Maestro Vento is the leader of the musician robots on the planet Musica and the manager of its music hall. This role marked a significant new direction for Kikkawa, allowing him to apply his performance skills to an animated character in one of Japan's most beloved film series.
