Yurina Hase
Description
Yurina Hase is a Japanese singer-songwriter and former voice actress. She was born on December 9, 1979, in Shizuoka Prefecture. She began her voice acting career under the name Yurika Ochiai, and later changed her stage name to Yurina Hase in December 2009. She has also used the name Yurika for her music activities.
Her career in voice acting began after passing a free新人育成 audition for Arts Vision in 1999 and subsequently attending the Japan Narration Acting Institute. She was originally affiliated with Arts Vision but left in October 2006 to work as a freelancer. From 2007, she was affiliated with Genki Project, and in December 2008, she moved to Intercept. After leaving Intercept in December 2009, she worked freelance before affiliating with Kekke Corporation for her voice-acting related activities starting in December 2011. She took a break from voice acting roles in 2014 and announced the cessation of voice acting activities on April 30, 2014, to focus on her music career.
Hase is known for several major voice roles. She portrayed Konomi Yuzuhara in the ToHeart2 series, including the television animation in 2004, various OVAs such as ToHeart2 adnext and ToHeart2 Dungeon Travelers, and numerous video games. She also voiced Aloe in the Quiz Magic Academy series, appearing in original animations and a long-running series of video games. Another significant role was as Yukiho Hagiwara in The Idolmaster franchise, starting with the arcade game in 2005 and subsequent releases until she stepped down from the role in July 2010, after which she was replaced by Azumi Asakura.
Her other notable voice credits include Thursday in Makai Senki Disgaea, Keiko Takamura in Uta Kata, Rara Hinagiku in the Futakoi series, Suzume Saotome in Hyakko, and Melissa in Tweeny Witches. Beyond voice acting, she has been active as a singer-songwriter, releasing solo albums such as UKA and Wish, and she also worked as a gravure idol earlier in her career.
