Akiharu Tōka is a Japanese manga artist and writer, known primarily as the creator of the series The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess. Tōka is both the author and illustrator of this work, which represents their most significant professional credit in the anime and manga industry.

The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess, originally titled Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi, began serialization in Hakusensha’s shōjo manga magazine LaLa on August 24, 2018. The series is published in collected tankōbon volumes under Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume Comics imprint, and as of October 2025, seventeen volumes have been released along with two short story collections. The manga is licensed for English-language release in North America by Yen Press. By February 2024, the series had over 1.7 million copies in circulation.

An anime television adaptation of The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess was announced on February 17, 2024. The series was produced by Studio Deen and directed by Hiroaki Sakurai, with scripts by Mitsutaka Hirota and music by Ryūichi Takada. It aired for twelve episodes from October 9 to December 25, 2025, on networks including TV Tokyo and BS11. The adaptation was licensed by Crunchyroll for international distribution.

Prior to the anime, a voice drama was released in the December 2021 issue of LaLa magazine on October 22, 2021, featuring voice actors for several characters from the series.
