Kaili Sorano

Description
Kaili Sorano, also known as Kairi Sorano, is a Japanese manga artist born on October 23 in Japan. Sorano is the original creator behind several manga series and is particularly known for the manga and anime project Monochrome Factor. Sorano's professional debut in long-form manga appears to have come in 2004 with the work Cristo - Jougan no Messiah, for which Sorano provided both the writing and illustrations. This was followed in 2005 by the creation of Sorano's most widely recognized work, Monochrome Factor. The series was first serialized in Mag Garden's bi-monthly manga magazine Comic Blade Masamune in May 2004. After that publication ceased, the manga continued in the new magazine Comic Blade Avarus starting in September 2007. The Monochrome Factor manga is categorized with action and supernatural themes and ran until June 2011, being compiled into a total of eleven volumes. It was licensed for North American distribution by Tokyopop. The success of the manga led to an anime adaptation produced by GENCO and animated by A.C.G.T, which premiered on TV Tokyo in April 2008 and ran for twenty-four episodes. The anime adaptation incorporated shonen-ai themes, which were noted to be largely absent from the original manga. Beyond Monochrome Factor, Sorano is also the creator of the manga series Mother Keeper, for which Sorano handled both the story and art. Additional works include Croa Chimera. Regarding artistic identity, Sorano has publicly shared a range of personal interests that inform a creative sensibility, including a fondness for video games such as Final Fantasy VII and the Halo series, films like Twelve Monkeys and Blade, as well as hobbies like photography and cooking. Sorano is noted to have a professional preference for working within the shonen genre.
