Description
Yui Ariga is a Japanese voice actress and stage actress from Tokyo, born on December 1st. She is a graduate of the 18th term of the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy and subsequently trained at the Mausu Promotion affiliated actors' school. Her career began in the late 1990s, and she was formerly affiliated with Production Ace before becoming a freelance performer in October 2018.
Ariga's early voice roles included minor characters in the 2007 television anime series Campus Utopia Manabi Straight!. Her first significant role came in 2009 when she voiced the character Mikuni in the television anime series Shangri-La. She is also recognized for her role as the Newspaper Circle Chief, Kurumi Kuroki, a character sometimes referred to as "Buchou," in the 2011 television anime R-15 and its accompanying OVA. Another regular anime role followed in 2014 when she portrayed Alina Hartgen in the series Chaika - The Coffin Princess Avenging Battle.
Beyond anime, Ariga has built an extensive career in voice-over work for foreign films and television series, providing the Japanese-language dubbing voices for numerous characters. Her credits in this field include the films Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, Saw VI, and 16 Blocks, as well as television series such as Two and a Half Men, House M.D., and NCIS.
