La-na is best known as the illustrator of the manga adaptation of Kunon the Sorcerer Can See, based on the light novel series written by Umikaze Minamino with original character designs by Laruha. The manga began serialization in Media Factory’s seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive on April 27, 2022. An English language version is published by Yen Press under the title Kunon the Sorcerer Can See. The story follows a blind boy named Kunon who uses water magic to create new eyes for himself, developing abilities that surpass his teachers and attract the attention of the kingdom’s most powerful magician.

Beyond Kunon the Sorcerer Can See, La-na has worked on other significant manga adaptations. Since 2022, La-na has also been the manga artist for New The Irregular at Magic High School: Cygnus Maidens, a spin-off of the popular The Irregular at Magic High School series. In terms of adaptation history, the manga version of Kunon the Sorcerer Can See that La-na illustrated has itself been adapted into an anime television series. The anime, produced by Platinum Vision, premiered in January 2026. In the anime’s credits, La-na is listed as the original manga creator, alongside Umikaze Minamino as the original light novel author.

La-na’s body of work is primarily within the fantasy genre, focusing on adapting existing light novel properties into manga format as well as providing illustrations for light novel series. Through contributions to franchises such as The Irregular at Magic High School and Infinite Dendrogram, and as the artist behind a manga that received an anime adaptation, La-na has established a presence in the light novel and manga adaptation space.
