Yukiko Nozawa

Description
Yukiko Nozawa is a Japanese manga artist born in Aichi Prefecture who graduated from the Nagoya Zokei University of Art & Design. Her professional career began in 2013 when she won second place in the 18th Manga Audition Excellence Award from Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Comic Zenon magazine. Following this recognition, she launched her first serialized work, Yokoshimana Eguchi-kun, which later continued under the title Eguchi-kun wa Minogasanai until March 2019. During this period, she also created the series Iyayo Iyayo mo Suki no Uchi, which was subsequently retitled Henshoku Joshi wa Koi de Onaka wo Mitashitai, serialized across multiple publications until its conclusion in 2018.

Nozawa is best known as the illustrator for the manga series The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine on December 26, 2019. The work is authored by Rikito Nakamura, with Nozawa responsible for the artwork. Her artistic identity is rooted in comedic and character-driven narratives, often incorporating elements of romantic comedy and slice-of-life storytelling. Prior to her mainstream success, she cultivated a following through pin-up art and comedic manga series. The 100 Girlfriends adaptation into an anime series brought wider recognition to her visual style and collaborative work, establishing her as a significant contributor to contemporary manga illustration within the seinen demographic.
