Dachima Inaka is a Japanese writer known for creating the light novel series Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?. Inaka is a male author originally from Shizuoka Prefecture. After graduating high school, he moved to Tokyo to attend a school specializing in guitar crafting. Later, he spent approximately three months studying in Australia and then used a working holiday visa to live in New Zealand for about nine months. During his time as a backpacker in New Zealand, he developed the ambition to become a writer. After returning to Japan, he repeatedly submitted his work to various literary awards.

His professional debut came in 2016 when his novel, Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?, won the Grand Prize in the 29th Fantasia Awards, an annual contest for novels published under the Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. The light novel series was subsequently published by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko label. The series ran for a total of eleven volumes, with the first volume released on January 20, 2017, and the final volume published on April 17, 2020. Pochi Iida provided the illustrations for the light novels. In North America, the light novel series was licensed by Yen Press.

The story served as the foundation for multiple adaptations. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Meicha, was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's digital magazine Young Ace Up from September 26, 2017, to January 18, 2021. The manga was compiled into five tankōbon volumes. This adaptation was also licensed in North America by Yen Press. An anime television series adaptation produced by the studio J.C.Staff aired from July 13 to September 28, 2019, spanning 12 episodes, with an additional original video animation episode released later.

The recurring thematic identity of Inaka's notable work is a comedic fantasy that explores the dynamic between a mother and son. The premise centers on a teenager, Masato, who is transported into a video game world with his doting mother, Mamako. The humor and conflict arise from the fact that his mother possesses overwhelmingly powerful abilities, which frustrates his desire to prove himself as a typical hero. The series blends elements of the isekai genre with a focus on family relationships.

Inaka's significance in the industry is marked by his successful debut, which not only won a major award before its publication but also achieved notable commercial success, with the first two volumes selling a combined 100,000 copies. The subsequent multimedia expansion into manga and anime solidified the work's presence across different platforms.
