Mako Morino is a Japanese voice actress, singer, and television personality born on January 24, 1987, in Tomiya, Miyagi Prefecture. She began her entertainment career in 2009 as a television personality on the Sendai Television variety show Arakashi Saturday before relocating to Tokyo to pursue voice acting and reporting work. Her stage name is inspired by Sendai's nickname, Mori no Miyako, or City of Trees.

Morino's voice acting career began in earnest in 2011 when she was cast as Ageru-chan in the long-running children's anime series Hanakappa. She has continued to voice this character in subsequent films, including the 2013 movie Hanakappa the Movie: Hanakase! Pakkān Chō no Kuni no Daibōken. This role is considered her breakthrough in the anime industry.

She gained wider recognition in the early 2010s with roles in several prominent anime series. In 2014, she voiced Chiyori in the anime series Selector Infected WIXOSS and its sequel, Selector Spread WIXOSS. That same year, she began voicing Yuki Himekawa in the popular multimedia franchise The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, a role she has reprised in various anime adaptations, video games, and live concerts. Her performance as Yuki Himekawa has led to significant music career achievements, including the 2015 single "The Idolmaster Cinderella Master 032: Yuki Himekawa," which charted at number eleven on the Oricon Singles Chart, and the 2016 album The Idolmaster Cinderella Master Passion Jewelries! 003, which reached number three on the Oricon Albums Chart.

Beyond The Idolmaster and Hanakappa, Morino's filmography includes roles such as Mamitas in Omakase! Miracle Cat-dan, Chu-chan in Six Hearts Princess, and Katato Ikusa in the Cinderella Nine franchise, for which she also starred in the spin-off net anime Katato The Animation in 2017. In video games, she has voiced characters in titles like Magia Record, Rage of Bahamut, and Vivid Army. Her more recent work includes voicing Shikoku in the 2024 anime series Chained Soldier and a role in The Stories of Girls Who Couldn't Be Magicians.

Morino has a strong background in sports, having played volleyball for fourteen years from elementary school through university. This athletic background has contributed to her well-known passion for baseball, and she is an avid fan of both the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles and the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. Her baseball enthusiasm has led to work as a presenter and MC for baseball-related programs, including Happy Monday Baseball for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars.
