Erect Sawaru

Description
Erect Sawaru is a Japanese manga artist and character designer who debuted as a professional creator in June 2005 in Akaneshinsha's Comic Tenma magazine. He has since published manga through several major Japanese publishers, including KADOKAWA, Kill Time Communication, and Akaneshinsha, and has provided character design work for companies such as lilith, Silicon Studio, Daiki, and Pinpoint. Beyond his creative work, he has listed model figure collecting, cycling, and travel as personal interests, with pasta, beer, sake, and whiskey among his favorite foods and drinks.

The creator is best known for originating several manga series that were later adapted into original video animation (OVA) productions. One of his earliest notable works is Seme Chichi, a manga that was adapted into a two-episode OVA released in September and December 2010. Another significant work is Injutsu no Yakata, also known in English as The Residence of Erotic Art, which was published as a manga in November 2006 and subsequently adapted into an OVA released in August 2014. Other manga he has written and illustrated include Mazo Chichi from 2007, Pandra Shiroki Yokubou Kuro no Kibou from 2008, Oppai Infinity from 2009, and Shinkyoku no Grimoire Pandra Saga 2nd Story from 2012. Many of these titles received anime adaptations in the mid-2010s, including Oppa Infinity The Animation, Pandra The Animation, and Shinkyoku no Grimoire The Animation, all released in 2014. A later adaptation, Raikou Shinki Aigis Magia Pandra Saga 3rd Ignition The Animation, was released in 2022. He has also worked as an illustrator for light novels, including Romnia Teikoku Koubouki from 2013, Dai Eiyuu ga Mushoku de Nani ga Warui from 2014, and Daraku no Ou from 2015.

The recurring themes across his body of work are consistent with the genres in which he operates, focusing on adult-oriented narratives. His manga and the anime adaptations based on them typically feature explicit content, often incorporating elements such as fantasy settings, character archetypes including maids and elves, and situations involving dominance and submission. Works like The Residence of Erotic Art, which features elf characters, and Seme Chichi, which centers on a family relationship with a maid, illustrate his tendency to blend character-driven scenarios with adult themes.

In terms of industry significance, Erect Sawaru has maintained a steady output as a creator within the adult manga and anime sectors since his debut in 2005. His work has been published in Japan and licensed for international release, with his manga Sex Infinity, a collection of short stories from 2012, being published in France by Taifu Comics in September 2014. He was also a guest at Anime Expo in Los Angeles in July 2016, indicating recognition within the broader anime convention circuit. While information about his personal biography remains limited, his professional credits across manga publication, light novel illustration, character design for games, and numerous anime adaptations establish him as a established figure in his field.
