Annelies Balhan

Annelies Balhan is a Dutch actress and dancer who has performed in a variety of stage, television, and voice-over roles. Born Johanna Elisabeth Balhan on May 27, 1948, in Ede, Netherlands, she trained in classical dance before beginning her career in the late 1960s. Her performance career includes roles in musicals such as Sweet Charity in 1968 and Amerika, Amerika in 1972, as well as comedic plays with the Theater van de Lach in the 1970s. On television, she appeared in Dutch series like Waaldrecht, Klaverweide, and Prettig geregeld, and was known as a regular assistant on the Tedshow hosted by Ted de Braak. In the 1990s, she took on roles in the series Tax Free and the long-running soap opera Goede tijden, slechte tijden.

Balhan also contributed her voice to Dutch-language versions of several animated and family films, including anime and animated features. She provided the Dutch voice for the character Doortje, the protagonist in the 1986 anime series The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, an adaptation of L. Frank Baum's books. Her other voice acting credits include the role of Sophie in the Dutch version of The BFG (1989) and the voice of Marie in The Nutcracker Prince (1990). She also contributed voices to the Dutch dubs of the Disney film Fun & Fancy Free (1947) and the anime series Shoukoushi Sedi, also known as Ceddie (1988).
