Atsushi Imai is a Japanese actor and voice actor, born on April 25, 1957, in Miyagi Prefecture. He is affiliated with the theatre company The Super Company and is recognized for his versatility as a performer, with skills extending to playing musical instruments such as bass and guitar.

His career is grounded in a strong background in theatre, which has provided him with a solid foundation in performance. As a prominent member of The Super Company, he has appeared in numerous stage productions, including "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Musical Sakamoto Ryoma". In 2000, he also founded an improvisational play titled "Dance Dance Dance," demonstrating his commitment to innovative theatrical works.

In the realm of anime, Imai is best known for voicing characters in long-running and popular series. He is the second voice actor for the iconic character Jukusei Otoko Higurashi in "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo" (Kochikame), a role he continued to play in the 2016 TV special, "Kochikame THE FINAL: Ryōtsu Kankichi Saigo no Hi". His other notable credits include voicing Hajime Shinpachi in "Rurouni Kenshin" and Nameru-kun in "Kerokero Chaimu".
