Choco Aya is a Japanese manga artist, illustrator, and character designer known primarily for their work on the fantasy comedy series Dragon Goes House-Hunting. Choco Aya is from Toyama Prefecture, Japan, and is male. Their background includes studying at Musashino Art University's Faculty of Art and Design, where they majored in Visual Expression and Design before withdrawing. During their time at the university, Choco Aya was a member of the manga research club. Their professional activities began in 1995 with the start of their doujinshi circle, which operates under the name CHOCOLATE SHOP. In addition to their work under the name Choco Aya, they have also used the pseudonym Koichi Mugitani for work as a mechanical designer.

Choco Aya is best known as the illustrator for the manga series Dragon Goes House-Hunting. The series is written by Kawo Tanuki. It was serialized in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Garden magazine from December 2016 to December 2022 and was compiled into ten tankobon volumes. The story follows a cowardly and weak dragon named Letty who is banished from his home and embarks on a quest to find a safe and comfortable place to live, aided by a powerful elf real estate agent named Dearia. The manga has been licensed for English publication in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.

An anime television adaptation of Dragon Goes House-Hunting was produced by the studio Signal.MD. The series aired from April to June 2021. Choco Aya is not known to have worked as a voice actor on this or any other production. As the illustrator of the source material, Choco Aya's artistic contributions formed the visual foundation for the characters and world adapted into the anime.
