Yōhei Yasumura is a Japanese manga artist and the original creator behind the anime and manga series The Dungeon of Black Company. He is primarily known for writing and illustrating this ongoing web manga, which has been serialized on Mag Garden's Mag Comi website since December 2016.

Before achieving success with The Dungeon of Black Company, Yasumura worked on other projects in the manga industry. He provided the illustrations for the manga adaptation of the light novel series Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Test Platoon, which was serialized in Monthly Comic Alive starting in December 2014. He also published a one-shot manga titled "Teishu Kankan Suzuka-chan" in the August 2016 issue of Monthly Comic Alive.

Yasumura's major work, The Dungeon of Black Company, follows a protagonist named Kinji Ninomiya, a wealthy NEET who is transported to a fantasy world and forced to work for a ruthless mining corporation. The series blends isekai fantasy elements with sharp social satire about modern corporate exploitation and labor conditions. The manga has been collected into multiple tankōbon volumes and is licensed for English release in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.

The success of the manga led to an anime television series adaptation produced by the studio Silver Link. The anime aired from July 9 to September 24, 2021, on several Japanese networks including Tokyo MX and AT-X. The series was directed by Mirai Minato, with scripts overseen by Deko Akao and music composed by Taku Inoue.

Regarding his artistic approach, Yasumura has described himself as someone who takes considerable time with his storyboards and actively works to limit his own freedoms, such as going outside without his smartphone, in order to complete his work more efficiently. He also pays careful attention to his inking, aiming to keep his lines lively and energetic. He has expressed appreciation for films like Napoleon Dynamite.
