Graham McTavish is a Scottish actor and voice actor known for a prolific career across film, television, and animated productions. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1961, he developed an interest in performance from a young age and went on to study English Literature at Queen Mary University of London, a path that allowed him to perform in numerous Shakespearean plays. He began his professional career in the mid-1980s, with extensive work in British theatre and early television appearances in series such as Return to Treasure Island, Red Dwarf, and Taggart.

While McTavish is widely recognized for his on-screen roles, particularly as Dwalin in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit film trilogy, Dougal MacKenzie in Outlander, and the Saint of Killers in Preacher, he has also built a substantial and highly regarded career as a voice actor. His voice work spans animated television series, direct-to-video animated films, and major video game franchises.

In animation, one of his prominent roles is providing the voice of the title character, the poet Dante Alighieri, in the 2010 adult animated film Dante's Inferno: An Animated Epic. This film served as a companion piece to the video game of the same name. Notably, McTavish also voiced Dante in the video game, marking a crossover between the two projects. He has voiced the iconic Marvel villain Loki in several animated projects, including the films Hulk Vs. and the series The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. He is also recognized for his work in the animated series Wolverine and the X-Men. More recently, McTavish has lent his commanding voice to characters in the Disney series DuckTales as Fergus McDuck and has a role in Transformers: Robots in Disguise.

Perhaps his most acclaimed voice role in recent years is that of Count Dracula in the Netflix animated series Castlevania, a performance noted for its depth and tragedy. This role has introduced him to a new generation of animation fans. His voice acting also extends to numerous video games. He is particularly well-known in the gaming community for his work in the Uncharted series, where he provided the voice and motion capture for the antagonist Zoran Lazarevic in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and for the character Charlie Cutter in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. His other game credits include significant roles in Dragon Age: Origins, Metro 2033, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
