Vernon Dew
Description
Vernon Dew is an American voice actor based in Los Angeles, California, known for his work in anime dubs, animation, and video games. Born on January 3, 1982, in Phoenix, Arizona, he began performing at the age of eight, participating in an Old West stunt team called the Arizona Gunslingers. He continued acting on stage throughout high school and college, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Performance from Concordia University. He also trained at The Groundlings School in Los Angeles and took private voice acting lessons.
Since 2005, Dew has been active in film, television, and voice-over productions. He has received vocal training and participated in workshops at several notable studios, including Bang Zoom! Entertainment, where he gained experience working on anime and live-action dubs. His vocal range is often described as being able to shift from serious and mature to young and energetic, and he is skilled in various accents.
Dew is perhaps best recognized for voicing the S-Class hero Zombieman in the English adaptation of the popular anime series One Punch Man, a role he has reprised across the television series and OVAs. Another significant and recurring role is Sharko, one of the titular characters in the French animated series Zig & Sharko, where he provides the voice for the shark protector.
In addition to these roles, Dew has an extensive portfolio in video game voice acting. He is credited with voicing the character Abysskeeper and providing additional voices in the critically acclaimed game Fire Emblem: Three Houses for the Nintendo Switch. He has also voiced Rafiel in Fire Emblem Heroes, provided a male custom voice in God Eater 3, and voiced the characters Queerix and Carter in the game GYEE.
His other anime voice credits include the role of Vittel in the English version of Magi: Adventure of Sinbad, Angelo in the series Charlotte, and Lauren in Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers.
