Kana Motomiya is a Japanese voice actor born on May 26, 1992, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She began her career in 2014 and is affiliated with the agency Just Production. Her debut role was as Hanemu Sakuranomiya in the multimedia project COSMIC@LIVE the same year.
Motomiya's career became closely associated with the Kemono Friends franchise. In the first television anime season in 2017, she voiced the character Fennec (Fennec Fox), which was her first regular anime role. She was also a member of the voice actor unit Doubutsu Biscuits, which performed the series' opening theme song, Welcome to Japari Park, leading to an appearance on the music program MUSIC STATION. She reprised her role as Fennec for the 2017 Kemono Friends stage play. For the second season in 2019, Kemono Friends 2, Motomiya returned not only as Fennec but also provided the voice for the character Giant Armadillo. Shortly before a 2019 event, it was announced that she would be graduating from the Kemono Friends project.
In 2020, Motomiya joined the cast of the popular Love Live! franchise, playing the supporting role of Misaki Shidou in the television anime Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She later reprised this role for the 2024 film, Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club The Movie: Final Chapter (Part 1).
Beyond these prominent roles, Motomiya has contributed to a wide variety of other anime and games. Her anime credits include minor roles in series such as One-Punch Man (season 2), BanG Dream! 3rd Season, and Science Accelerator T. In the game world, she voiced characters like Anmeri in Cryptract and characters in Phantom Beast姬, as well as the role of Rinka Arima in the Onsen Musume multimedia project.
